You aren't as hard to see as you think you are. People just don't pay enough attention to what's important. Not that you are a what. English defaults too easily to referring to people as things.
I'm glad you think so. You did? It is a hard language. I don't mind when Alexei or Yelena speak it, because they just sound like themselves. But I don't like hearing it in my voice.
yeah, more interesting things taking up my attention now. it's difficult for me to get the accent quite right have trouble with those, i always sound obnoxiously british. the alphabet is pretty, though.
Now I have to hear you try to do the accent. Although I don't think you ever sound obnoxious. The alphabet is very pretty. Cyrillic calligraphy is lovely.
is that your first desire? my awful accent? because it sounds like i'm some over the top bond villain played by an actor who only learned russian by watching other hollywood films.
english looks so plain in comparison. but the alphabet is shared by so many languages. that's what's so strange about english to me. that it borrows words that utilize that same alphabet differently. so none of the sounds make much sense. but it makes it easier to learn languages within that same... group.
No, that's not first. That will be like fifth or something. I'll let you know when we get to it. Sounds like it'll be adorable.
English looks plain written regularly. It's pretty in cursive or calligraphy or lighted manuscripts, though. The words and the sounds are bizarre, though. It is strange. Learning it was a challenge.
ah, but i'd like to know the first. to get a head start.
i struggled to learn cursive. very difficult to write at all, but it's how i learned to control my focus more precisely. i can imagine. the way americans speak it sounds even more strange. why i never allowed myself to adopt their way.

i wish i had a better bed... but maybe if you bring more than one extra we can pile them onto the floor.

It's fine. I have slept in much less comfortable places, and the company was not nearly so good.
no subject
never really planned to have guests. but it's nice to have the company.
no subject
Do I count as a guest?
no subject
i can't keep putting this off.
you know... i guess not. but i never really planned for that either.
no subject
I could not have planned for you if I tried.

:) yet you still managed a better handle on me than anyone

... it's worked just fine until now.
is it easier to express yourself in russian?
no subject
Maybe you just started putting a little less effort into it.
No.

especially when they involve me
probably isn't worth as much effort now.
hm, because i tried learning a bit. difficult.

Learning it the first time was easy, I think. The second time was difficult.
Americans really like putting their own bizarre spin on things.

i can imagine it being a similar sort of struggle. figuring out how your body works all over again.
no subject
Yes, I think it's probably similar as well.
no subject
yeah. i was terrified when i started losing it again. after working so hard to learn control, feeling it slowly slip away more and more.
no subject
I can imagine. There is nothing as horrifying as when your own body betrays you.
